白杨树农业生产合作社社长张登山（蒋锐饰）因为一些矛盾和第二生产队队长田大虎（蓝谷饰）产生了激烈的争吵，第二天，张登山中毒病倒。张登山的亲戚张万寿（白穆饰）一口张登山中毒是田大虎报复所为，而种种的蛛丝马迹都将犯罪的嫌疑指向了田大虎，只有田大虎的未婚妻郭秀娥（束夷饰）坚定的相信自己的未婚夫不是如此下三滥之人。经过公安人员缜密的调查，竟意外的发现了张万寿的特务身份，从而识破了张万寿企图栽赃陷害田大虎的阴谋。恼羞成怒的张万寿与富农田云卿（高笑鸥饰）联手，决定拼一个鱼死网破，在张万寿实行他的破坏行动之际，郭秀娥发现了张万寿的计划。。A private detective helps a prostitute being assaulted, and notices that she is wearing a very unique ring.
