Andy每天拼命工作，希望早日赚到足够的钱发展事业，从来不理会自己的身体。一天，他在服药时意外哽死。生死审判官认为他只懂工作，根本活得不快乐，不如早日离去。Andy不甘心半生奋斗烟消云散，于是跟天神打赌，如果可以在七天内令身患绝症的Tiffany真心感到快乐，便可以重回人间。。"Daughters of the Dust" tells the story of a family of African-Americans who have lived for many years on a Southern offshore island, and of how they come together one day in 1902 to celebrate their ancestors before some of them leave for the North. The film is narrated by an unborn child, and ancestors already dead also seem to be as present as the living.。
