刘志是一个出身于乡下农村的苦孩子，其身世还有个不能见天日的秘密，他原来是一个亲生父母抛弃的私生子，被现在的养父母收养。奋发图强的刘志经过努力考上大学，却因为穷困而差点放弃上学的机会，是哥哥刘强跑到黑煤矿挖煤挣钱，逼着刘志去上大学。而刘强却因为恶劣的工作条件染上致命的肺病。贫穷的刘志在大学里受尽歧视，又为了给哥哥治病费尽心机。身患绝症的哥哥让学新闻的刘志为他一样遭遇的矿工弟兄们伸张正义。 刘志的举动触动了黑煤矿背后的老板黎天光，同样出身于贫苦农村的黎天光如今已经出人头地，为了维护自己的利益，黎天光不惜对刘志等人进行一系列的陷害和报复。而黎天光却不知道，他和刘志之间有着千丝万缕、意想不到的关系，仇敌、父子……by:。《浊流》分为三个篇章，分别改编自明治时期日本女作家樋口一叶的三个短篇小说《十三夜》、《除夕》和《浊流》。导演今井正是50年代日本左派电影的代表人物，本片他以女性的命运作为故事的发展主线，细致展示了明治时期市井百姓的生活。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
