蘅王统治下民不聊生，朝堂内外一众有志之士结成反蘅联盟，立下生死“衣带诏”誓要推翻蘅王还天下以太平。蘅王命朝中高手魏侯爷找出“衣带诏”，将名单上的反叛斩尽诛绝。白山水和谢家的大小姐谢柔均在“衣带诏”的名单之上。谢柔弟弟谢长胜是一个吊儿郎当的败家子，他被白山水的美貌吸引，冒充官员玄武来到客栈追求白山水，白山水阴差阳错的误以为谢长胜就是自己要找的玄武大人，奉命追杀玄武的“阴阳二弦”两高手也来到客栈，谢柔也赶到了客栈。彼此的关系错综复杂，暗藏的危机不断加深，各个势力各怀鬼胎不断僵持，加上没正经的谢长胜闹出了一系列荒诞又紧张的事件。。Akerman's Toute une nuit is a collection of vignettes depicting the fancies and dramatic moments of a number of people throughout one summer night.
