But after several days, the worried animals begin to their family must b...。颠沛流离，上下只有十六文的盲人按摩师座头市（胜新太郎饰）辗转回到故乡笠间。虽然厌倦黑道搏杀，可是命运前定，此前死于阿市刀下的勘兵卫的弟弟岛吉（须贺不二男饰）尾随而至，发誓报仇。剑拔弩张时刻，传授阿市居合刀法的浪人之子伴野弥十郎（河津清三郎饰）出面制止，并将徒弟带回自己的住所。故地重游，以及弥十郎温柔的妹妹弥生（坪内ミキ子饰）都令阿市心发无限感慨。然而严苛的现实早已改变弥十郎，他一面逼妹妹嫁给殷实人家，一面又暗中与盘踞附近的天狗党勾结干着绑架勒索的营生。阿市人盲心明，碍于义理人情隐忍不发，却不免迎来和师傅拔刀相向的悲剧宿命时刻……。
